Being a mom isn't hard. The horror stories told to me when I was pregnant isn't a thing, at least not for me. I don't have a hard baby who fusses a lot, and I have a supportive husband who helps, A LOT. So it's been really great, but still the only thing I wish had more of is time, how traditional and boring right?
Whenever I want to write, or read, or edit my novel that I'm self publishing SOMETIME this month, or even when I try to sit down to record a booktube video, something baby-related must be attended to be it a diaper change, feeding, or just some cuddle time before I put her back down for a nap. I often clean the entire house when she's asleep. I'm a clean freak in a sense of clutter. Every time she goes down, it's dishes, laundry, tidy'ing up the house, ect before she pops back awake for a feeding. I LIKE a clean house, but I am looking forward to the following month(s) where she will sleep longer hours so once I DO finish cleaning the house I can also eat and do my own thing online, be it write a blog, record a booktube video, read, or write, or edit.. which I'm supposed to be doing now. I'm lucky right now. One load of laundry needs to be swapped, but dishes are done and the house is tidy. My husband and daughter are asleep cuddling together. Though I'm really hungry, I thought I'd blog first because, (who knows if wordbound posts a prompt today, jeez). I really need to edit Pulled Under though. I often find myself on Flight Rising more and more because while I am breast feeding, pumping, or cuddling a half sleep baby, or even cleaning the house, I have one free hand that can not type while holding a laptop, or hold open a book to turn the page. I can hold my phone, which I have been using to lay around on FR. Now I'm simply rambling and need to get back to editing Puled Under. Half way through the 5th draft and I believe this will be my last.
