I posted a really lame thread looking for friends on the nano forums, sourced below, even though the link will be wiped in October or whenever the nano team wipes the site.
Long story short, copy and pasted lame request::
"I do not have any friends that are writers or readers. My family, co workers, and friends roll their eyes when I mention writing or reading, (even though I have self published some of my books, it's still not serious to them...) I have been a part of nano since 2007. Ten years later, I'd like to make some year long life long friends who write and read, ect. I thought about making a cabin and having a small group, and after camp, if we all hit it off, maybe we can be friends on other platforms and stuff? Nano is doing the road trip remake of the site to make it more popular year round. So, to get the awkwardness out of the way, I made a quick stat card, lol. I'm Maryah, female, going to be 26 in July, married, just had my 1st baby a month ago, EST zone, USA. Country girl, (check out my novels on here and at the camp site to see my writing style / genres). Mostly new adult fiction, fantasy, slightly romantic or even scifi. Always with adult themes. If I could compare my writing to an author I'd say I would be P. C. CAST (Parthalon series, not house of night, bonus is you understand that) meets Marissa Meyer meets Nora Roberts. My favorite novel right now is Eliza and her Monsters. Who wants to be friends? I also constantly hover on the bookcon app, lol. I just started using instagram for book topics and started blogging jan. 2017. I occasionally booktube. I don't snapchat, twitter is a distant thought, and I get scared and lost on tumblr. Flight rising is life, lol. My region sucks by the way, even the ML gives up on meetings. We never had more than three people. Hard to meet when you all live an hour or more away from each other. I also game on steam and role play if anyone has those hobbies? I'm such a loser for doing this, lol."
BUT HEY- I got two people with the same goal and hobbies and such so we shall see how it goes?
Welcome to my Blog
